Notes: I was packing my house to move, and my friend and I were emailing over the Blackberry. She was bored, and I was fantasizing about this bunny, so I shared it with her in a "fic-off." She wrote her take on the bunny, and I am writing mine! You can find Kittara Jaganshi's version HERE.
Sideswipe and Sunstreaker have to face the consequences of their actions in a very real, very alone, way.
Chapter One: “Your brother is a private person. If he were seeing anyone on the Ark, I’m not sure we all would know about it. He certainly wouldn’t say anything when I asked him.” Ratchet paused, inhaling slowly. “So I am asking you: is Sunstreaker interfacing with anyone on the Ark?”
Chapter Two: Sunstreaker could barely look Sideswipe in the optics, the crushing pressures of shame within him being too great to bear. He had no idea what to do, and for the first time in his life, he couldn’t turn to his brother.
Chapter Three: Sideswipe’s processor swam as he raced through the hallway, not seeing the passing mechs or their cheery, happy greetings. His breath came in harsh, rapid pants and all he wanted to do was to turn around and bury himself in the berth with Sunstreaker. His brother had made it abundantly clear however, that that was not a welcome option.
Chapter Four: Sunstreaker stared at Ratchet. “You want me to repopulate our species?”
Ratchet chuckled. “No, Sunny, not you alone. But we finally have time now to do so, and more importantly, we have the peace to do so." Ratchet smiled sadly. “If there was a time to start having sparklings again, it would be now.”
